Early on, I discovered my passion for metal and manufacturing technology—the work with the material, its malleability, and the precision in the production process fascinated me. It quickly became clear that my career path would begin in a foundry.
The apprenticeship provided me not only with a solid foundation but also insights into various areas of production. I eventually found my professional home in the core-making department, where I now serve as a department head. Here, craftsmanship, technical understanding, and teamwork come together—the perfect mix for me.
Currently, I am pursuing further training to become an industrial foreman to deepen my expertise and enhance my leadership skills. The combination of responsibility, technology, and organization motivates me daily.
Working in the foundry fulfills me because I am not only part of an exciting production process but also actively contribute to the quality and efficiency of our products

In September 2019, I began my journey at Gusstechnik Schopfheim as an apprentice industrial clerk. After completing my training in May 2022, I had the opportunity to be directly hired by Gusstechnik.
Since then, I have been working in internal sales—a field where I can fully apply my communication strengths. The direct contact with customers and the teamwork make my work varied every day.
To further develop my professional and personal skills, I started advanced training to become an industrial specialist in October 2022, which I plan to complete in early 2025.
I particularly appreciate that Gusstechnik has supported me on this path and given me the opportunity to actively shape my career.

My career at Grohmann began in 1994 with an apprenticeship as a model maker—the first step in an exciting career in foundry technology. Early on, I was involved in innovative projects, such as the introduction of CAD technology.
After further training as a state-certified technician specializing in foundry technology, I gained valuable experience as a shift supervisor in gravity die casting. This was followed by roles in quality assurance and project planning, where I led the introduction of new components from 2011 to 2018.
In 2018, I joined the Technical Corporate Development department to support strategic projects, and in 2021, I took over the plant management at our Bisingen site.
Today, I combine years of technical experience with the ambition to continuously improve processes and develop our plant with a future-oriented approach. Grohmann stands for technical excellence and continuous development – values that have shaped my professional journey.

After completing my training as an industrial clerk, I joined MGH GussTec, a company within the Grohmann Group, in 2017. Since then, I have been responsible for procurement, handling the acquisition of raw materials, supplies, and services.
To expand my knowledge, I pursued further training as an industrial specialist from 2018 to 2020, followed by training as a business economist from 2020 to 2022. I am particularly grateful that MGH GussTec allowed me to complete these trainings alongside my job and supported me in my professional development.
These qualifications have enabled me to make procurement processes more strategic and efficient. I especially value our young, dedicated team, the enjoyable collaboration, and the variety of tasks.

My professional journey at Grohmann began on February 15, 2005, as a toolmaker/gravity die casting fitter. My responsibilities included the repair, maintenance, and servicing of machines and dies in our department.
Grohmann enabled me to build my expertise through training in areas such as robot programming and foundry technology. As a result, I was first appointed as a shift leader and later as a foreman.
After successfully completing further training as an industrial foreman specializing in foundry technology, I was entrusted with the responsibilities of deputy plant manager.

Juliane
My journey with Grohmann began with a holiday job during my school years.
The fascinating insights into the operations of the aluminum foundry inspired me to start an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk at Grohmann.
After completing my apprenticeship, I wanted to expand my commercial knowledge and decided to pursue a dual study program in industrial engineering with a focus on technologies and sustainability-naturally in cooperation with Grohmann. The time between finishing my apprenticeship and starting my studies was well spent working as a project assistant, where I gained my first hands-on experience.
Today, I’m a Project Manager for Innovation,
where I can apply both my commercial and technical expertise to exciting projects and bring new ideas to life. I’m about to begin further training to become an AI Manager. It’s great to work for a company that actively promotes innovation and personal development.

Dietmar
My professional career began in 1984 with an apprenticeship as a patternmaker in foundry model construction.
After several years in quality assurance, I took over the department in 1994 and systematically expanded the quality management system.
Over time, my area of responsibility grew to include environmental management, energy, information security (TISAX), and sustainability. Through a broad range of qualifications—including certifications as a TQM Manager, VDA 6.3 & 6.5 Auditor, PSCR, and Energy Manager—I was able to continuously deepen my expertise.
Today, I serve as the Management Representative for Quality, Environment, and Energy, while also coordinating our IT. My focus is on the ongoing development of our management systems, digital transformation, and the company’s sustainable orientation.
Grohmann gives me the opportunity to actively shape innovation—with trust, responsibility, and a forward-looking mindset.
What I value most about our company is the chance to continuously grow, work independently, and remain open to new ideas. The support from executive management gives me the freedom to drive forward innovative projects.

In September 2007, I began my apprenticeship as a foundry mechanic specializing in machine molding.
After being hired in 2010, I successfully completed my training in 2011 and gained my first hands-on experience in the sand casting department, working on the molding line, where I later qualified as a machine operator.
In 2016, Gusstechnik Schopfheim gave me the opportunity to train as a certified foundry foreman. Thanks to full financial support from the company, I was able to fully focus on the program and completed it successfully in 2018.
In 2020, I moved into project planning and additionally took on responsibility for casting simulation. This multifaceted role allows me to apply and continuously expand my expertise while working on innovative solutions in foundry technology.
I am very grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given and for the trust placed in me at Grohmann. I truly enjoy growing both personally and professionally, and contributing my experience to a company that promotes innovation and development.
Facing new challenges every day and being part of a strong team makes my work especially rewarding.

My journey with MGH GussTec began in December 2014.
Thanks to my experience in prototype development and my parallel training as a state-certified technician with a focus on mechanical engineering, I was able to deepen my technical expertise in a targeted way.
After completing my technician qualification in 2016, I pursued an additional degree in foundry technology in 2018. In 2019, I specialized in quality assurance with a focus on crack and X-ray inspection (Level 2) to actively contribute to the quality of our production.
Today, I serve as Plant Manager, responsible for production processes, quality inspections, and compliance with technical standards. Together with my team, I work every day to deliver optimal results for our customers.
Grohmann stands for technological progress, team spirit, and targeted development—values that have accompanied me from the very beginning and have significantly shaped my professional growth.

Joelle
My passion for procurement began at the age of 19 during a temporary job at an industrial company, which inspired me to pursue an apprenticeship as an industrial clerk.
Since I wanted to deepen my skills and knowledge after completing my training, I enrolled in a two-year part-time program to become a certified industrial business specialist, which I completed in January 2024. In 2022, I transitioned from the finance department of my training company to the procurement team at Gusstechnik Schopfheim.
This career change gave me the opportunity to finally prove myself in purchasing—a chance the Grohmann Group offered me.
What I enjoy most to this day is the great collaboration with my colleagues, the direct interaction with customers and suppliers, and the variety and challenge of the work at GTS.
There’s always something new to learn – every single day.

Marius
In September 2014, I began my apprenticeship as a technical model-making mechanic,
which I successfully completed after 3½ years. During this time, I gained valuable experience in model making as well as in the foundry, providing me with a solid foundation for my professional development.
In September 2021, I embraced a new challenge and began full-time training to become a state-certified mechanical engineering technician. For two years, I attended the technician school full time—supported actively by Grohmann. This period allowed me to deepen my knowledge and expand my technical expertise.
Since completing my technician training, I’ve been working in development and design, with a primary focus on casting simulation. In this role, I plan and optimize casting processes and casting tools.
Through my work, I help develop efficient, high-quality solutions for aluminum cast components that meet the demanding standards of the industry.

I began my apprenticeship at MGH GussTec in 2016,
and quickly discovered my passion for sales. With the company’s support, I completed my qualification as a certified business economist (IHK) in 2021 – a journey that helped me gain both knowledge and confidence.
Alongside my role, I began a part-time degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing in 2021, which I successfully completed. Even during this intense period, the company supported me and enabled both personal and professional growth. In October 2024, I also completed further training as a certified Social Media Manager.
Since 2022, I’ve been part of Grohmann ALUWORKS and continue to learn every single day.
For me, Grohmann is more than just an employer -it’s a place that fosters development and growth.
